Spring?

One would imagine Spring Break with sunshine, flowers and a lot of outdoor fun. Well, we got 2 out of the 3. Sunshine was lacking. It rained or snowed. We received quite a bit of snow Wed. and then Thurs. woke up to about 12" of heavy snow. Many found their trees with large limbs broken off from the fast-coming, heavy snow. Our Navajo Willow lost a good size branch. When the kiddos awoke that morning I told them that they were on Christmas Break, not Spring Break.  Snow covered everything, including the fences. You couldn't see one place to the next. But it all melted quickly.

In contrast, this week has been beautiful. I have enjoyed working out in the yard. The tulips have come into bloom and look wonderful! Unfortunately the weather man says the sunshine is not here to stay and should expect rain, rain and more rain for days to follow. April showers bring May flowers, right?
